My Mac decided out of the blue to delete Node. Why?


Something strange happened to me today. Out of the blue, my Mac decided to remove Node citing potential malware.

The strange thing, I had Node installed for around a year on this machine and I didn't upgrade it recently.

Anyone with a similar experience?

My machine is a Macbook Air M3.

Check if your machine has been compromised by malware. This doesn't sound normal

What specifically cited malware? Is your laptop managed by a company? Is it using jamf?
