What is your favorite quote from a book?

I don't have a favorite book quote, as my choice depends on what I'm going through or experiencing at a particular point in my life. As at today, my favorite quote that comes to mind is from Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe -

Okonkwo stood looking at the dead man. He knew that Umuofia would not go to war. He knew because they had let the other messengers escape. They had broken into tumult instead of action. He discerned fright in that tumult. He heard voices asking: "Why did he do it?" He wiped his machete on the sand and went away.

“You want stories?" Thom Merrilin declaimed. "I have stories, and I will give them to you. I will make them come alive before your eyes.”

Robert Jordan, The Eye of the World.

"liberate yourself and be satisfied since the one who liberates you is also satisfied"- in the context of Amor Fati and stoicism from "Meditations". Honorable mentions: "Life without meaning is still a life" - the Rebel, Camus and...why not: "Can you hear me John Gordon, can you hear me call?" - from a great work of fiction: Star Kings, E. Hamilton.
